For the first time in Austria, it will be possible to capture the dimension of tires in real-time by scanning them with a smartphone. The data is automatically transferred to the tire portal “meinereifen.at” to offer customers a completely new information and selection experience. This was made possible by Auto Plus – a leading tire importer and wholesaler – and Anyline – the market leader for mobile data capture in the automotive industry.
Vienna, Austria – September 2022: Auto Plus, one of Austria’s leading tire importers and wholesalers, today announced its official cooperation with Anyline, the market leader for mobile data capture in the automotive industry. The aim of this cooperation is to further simplify and improve the customer experience on the tire portal meinereifen.at.
Currently, 75% of consumers obtain information about their future tires online. The correct entry of tire dimensions is essential, as otherwise incorrect or unsuitable models are suggested.
For the first time in Austria, meinereifen.at offers users the possibility to enter the dimension of their tires by simply scanning them with their cell phone or tablet. Anyline’s Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, which is based on artificial intelligence, reads the correct dimension directly from the sidewall and transfers it to the tire portal. This eliminates the possibility of incorrect entries by users.
This simplifies the information process for end customers and optimizes product selection. This user advantage is also an advantage for the more than 600 Auto Plus dealer partners behind meinereifen.at because they are the ones who carry out the actual purchase and fitting process, whereby 100% of the sales and earnings remain with the dealer-partner. They have the certainty of being provided with the best possible informed customers who, thanks to the intelligent tire scan, receive exactly the right tire suggestions.
