TireBuddy 1.9: A New Inspection Report Layout

TireBuddy just got a major update. See what’s new in tire inspection and identification.

The latest version of TireBuddy is here with a redesigned inspection report that helps customers easily understand the health of their tires and builds trust in the recommendations of technicians.

A report that backs up recommendations with photo evidence

The redesigned report makes it even easier for customers to digest all the information that was gathered about their tires during the inspection. Tread depth, tire age, and estimated braking distance all give a picture of the health of the tire, whilst make, model, size, and seasonal markings show exactly which tires are mounted on the vehicle. In addition, TireBuddy 1.9 now enables technicians to attach images of sidewall and rim damage to the report, transparently showing issues that need to be fixed, so customers can really trust their recommendations.

  • Rim and tire damage , such as scratches on rims and bulges on tire sidewalls, can now be noted during the inspection workflow and shown in the report.
  • Photo evidence of rim and sidewall damage can be attached to the technician’s note and added to the report.
  • Not-roadworthy flag can be set by technicians to flag a tire with healthy tread depth but other serious defects. This will show as recommended for immediate replacement in the report.

All of these elements, existing and new, still fit on a single page, which can be saved as an image or PDF to be shared with the customer.

The benefits of the new inspection report: clearer for customers, more complete for service teams.

The TireBuddy inspection report addresses a critical issue for workshops, making sure that customers really understand everything that has been found during the inspection. It’s not always easy to verbally convey this information, and traditional inspection forms are dense and text-heavy. Everything a technician finds in the bay needs to be detailed in the report that the customer sees, and the report should act as a visual support for any service recommendations.

With TireBuddy 1.9, the evidence is presented right there with the recommendation. Photos of damage to the tire or the rim are inserted alongside other tire information, so the customer can easily recognize what the technician found without stepping into the bay.

The same holds beyond a single bay. In TireBuddy, damages are categorized alongside the visual evidence, so a bulge is recorded in the same way no matter which technician made the inspection, across any location or any shift. Over time, that turns individual reports into a comparable record, and each one still captures the state of every tire on the day of the inspection.

Every replacement recommendation is a request for trust. With 1.9, the technician doesn't have to ask for it. The damage is on the report, photographed, next to the tire it belongs to.

From version 1.9, every report can carry damage, roadworthiness, and photo evidence alongside the tread reading.

Additional features in the TireBuddy App

A few smaller changes ship alongside the new report.

  • Pair replacement: an optional setting that automatically marks the paired tire on the same axle for replacement when one tire is not OK.
  • Custom fields per account: up to 10 extra fields in the  vehicle identification step, such as a work order or storage number. Each field can be free text, a barcode scan, or an image. Anyline sets up the fields for your account and delivers them with your license, and technicians fill in the values. These fields are not intended to be shown on the inspection report.
  • Redesigned vehicle identification screen: now consistent with the tire identification screen. This is where the custom fields appear.
