At Anyline, we’re constantly working on improving our products, and the past few months have brought key updates across the board. September 2026 in particular saw a fresh round of updates across our SDKs and apps. Here’s a rundown of the highlights.
This release covers four areas. Tire Sidewall now guides the user through the capture and returns three additional markings from the sidewall. TireBuddy can send a completed inspection report by email and record shoulder wear on the report. In the Mobile SDK, TIN/DOT scanning reads the plant code and production date more accurately, and the US License Plate scanner supports Pennsylvania’s new plate. On iOS, Swift Package Manager is now the recommended way to integrate.
Tire Sidewall
Guided sidewall capture with an automatic scan trigger
User guidance for the Tire Sidewall scanner has been radically improved. The user is now guided through the whole capture, so the tire sits correctly in the frame. Once it is in position, the scan triggers automatically and there is no need to tap the screen.
Before the photo is taken, the scanner checks position, lighting and image sharpness, which keeps capture consistent across users and gives them confidence in the result. Improved image capture also shortened upload and processing times, bringing time-to-result under a second.

Available in: Tire Tread SDK 15.2 on Android and iOS, and through the Flutter and React Native plugins. Integration: Tire Sidewall documentation.
Winter tire identification: 3PMSF, M+S and run-flat markings
A Tire Sidewall scan now returns three additional tire attributes alongside the make, model and size:
- 3PMSF (three-peak mountain snowflake) winter certification
- M+S mud and snow marking
- Run-flat marking
With this information, users can confirm the right tires are on the car for the season and check that the tires comply with local regulations. Winter tire rules differ by country, so the scan returns the markings and you apply the regulation for your region.
Available in: Tire Tread SDK 15.4 on Android and iOS, and through the Flutter and React Native plugins.
Expanded tire database: 48 more makes and models
48 additional makes and models have been added to our tire database. This improves the accuracy of make, model and tire size results, which are read from the sidewall itself.
AI-Powered Tire Sidewall Scanning for Instant Tire Identification
Capture every critical tire detail: make, model, size, or DOT production date in seconds, using any mobile device. Built for dealerships, fleets, and tire retailers that need fast, accurate tire data at scale.
TireBuddy App
Send inspection reports by email
When an inspection is completed, the PDF report can now be sent by email to the recipients set up for that shop. The message carries the vehicle, the inspection date, the shop and the inspector, with a download link next to the attachment.
The front desk therefore has the report without the technician needing to download or send anything. For a dealer group, inspections from every site land with the people who act on them and nobody forwards anything. Recipients are set per account, so all reports from shops reach those inboxes. Talk to your Anyline contact to set yours up.
Manual shoulder wear check on the inspection report
The inspection details screen has been redesigned so that all sidewall and tread information is now in one place. It also has a shoulder wear box that the inspector can check manually, and a checked box appears as a potential tire health issue on the inspection report.
Wear across a shoulder points at alignment or pressure issues rather than age. That gives a technician something to raise beyond a tread depth figure, and helps customers understand the true condition of the tire.
Available in: TireBuddy 1.8, via the App Store and Google Play.

Mobile SDK
Improved TIN/DOT scanning accuracy
Our dedicated TIN/DOT scanner is used to scan more than 100 million tires per year. A recent update improves accuracy on the plant code and production date of sections of the TIN/DOT. That makes it easier to ensure tires are safe for the road, by checking their age and looking up manufacturer recall notices.
Available in: version 56.2 on Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native, Cordova and .NET. Updating is simple and requires no code changes.
Pennsylvania support for US license plate scanning
Pennsylvania’s “Let Freedom Ring” layout is the state’s first redesign in over twenty years. It is now supported in our US License Plate scanner.
Available in: version 56.4 on Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native, Cordova and .NET.
License plate recognition, proven at over 99% accuracy
Anyline puts license plate recognition into your own app, on any platform, mobile or web, with no new hardware to buy.
Integration: Swift Package Manager is the recommended route on iOS
Swift Package Manager is the recommended way to add the Mobile SDK or the Tire Tread SDK to an iOS project. CocoaPods continues to work, and we publish there through 1 December 2026. Versions published before that date stay installable indefinitely.
If you integrate through CocoaPods today, the months before that date are a good time to plan the move. Swift Package Manager is supported from Mobile SDK 56.3 and Tire Tread SDK 15.5.
